Infant Has Bowel Movements Immediately After Meals, Stools Have Undigested Chunks Of Recent Meal, Has Teeth Eruptions, Is Crawling. Cause?
hi, my grand daughter is 11 months old and for the past month or so she has been frequently having a bowel movement . In fact almost as soon as she eats it comes out the other end. The nappy also looks like undigested food with chunks of recent meals visible. She also has a very sore bum which could be down to teething . She is a big baby but is noticeably losing weight, but has also been crawling the past month so might be down to that.

Frquent stools are OK if the consistency is normal!
Also passing stool after a feed is normal reflex in some children.
The sore bum may be from repeated cleaning after stools especially if the stools are acidic-needs gentle wiping and emollient cream application
If the weight is increased to 3 times birthweight by 1 year of age it shows normal growth and weight gain.so please check.all the best

Teething is a constant process and not necessarigly a cause for frequency of motion. At this age children tend to put all things in their mouth. All things need not be clean and this causes frequency of motion which is causing the sore bums and presence of undigested food in the stools. I would suggest that you get your granddaughter's stool examined and, if required, give medicines accordingly.
A regular weight record will tell you if your granddaughter is losing weight or progessing fine.
