Infant Has Watery Stools, Loss Of Weight. On Zinc Supplement. Sounds Okay?

5 month baby passes watery stool since 11 day freqency is 10-12 times a day. No h/o fever, vomiting ,she is active and on breast feeding but there is a loos of weight about half kg,she is 3.6 kg at birth, ten days back she is 7.5 kg now she is 7.0 kg, what to do plz tell me, we alredy given zinc supliment& ors ad advised by our physician

Thanks for your query.
Your baby is having diarrhea which could be due to increased gastrocolic reflex or viral in nature
This is good that baby is active,accepting feeds normally and is on breast feeding.
Relax,weight is normal as per age,baby doubles birth weight by 5 months of age.
Continue with zinc and oral rehydration solution.
Also give probiotic like lactobaccilus for 2 to 3 days.
Mother should avoid gas forming food items in her diet.
If symptoms persist get re evaluated by pediatrician
