Infant Having Fever, Cold, Cough, Vomits Or Passes Stools On Eating. Prescribed Sinarest, Mucolite, Distaclor. What Should Be Done?

Hi Doctor - Actually my nephew was unwell he had 102 fever , cold & cough . Now he is 5 months old. He has cough thou ( little). And whatever he eats, he either vomits or he passes it thru motion. The Dr has advised us with these 3 medicines (a) Sinarest - 3.5 ml x 4 times a day, (b) Mucolite Drops, (c) Distaclor - 3.5 ml. Can you advise - What I should do ? Thank you Doctor.

In this age group i suggest we should not leave your baby with oral medication

he could be having sepsis and should be investigated
investigations should include total leucocyte count, differential count, CRP, etc

he should be started on IV antibiotics.................
Pl rush him to a nearest pediatrician
