Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query,
Infantile colic is seen in 30% of babies,it starts by age of 3 weeks and usually settles by 3 to 4 months of age.
Relax,do not worry till baby is taking adequate feeds and is gaining weight.
Colimex drops can be gives when baby is fussier,
Keep baby in prone position ,but not unattended.
Burping to be done for 10 to 15 min after feeding.

Wishing your baby good health
God bless.

General & Family Physician Dr. Polash Sannigrahi's  Response
Hello dear...
The episode of non stop crying by your baby suggests that she might be having spasmodic pain in stomach.
Colimex is an anti spasmodic agent.
Promethazine is an antihistamine preparation which provides symptomatic relief.
So...the medicines prescribed by her Pediatrician is correct..please continue them as advised.
And since your daughter is just 1.2 months old, it is best to give her breast feeding.
Weaning can be started after 4 months of age.
Till then nothing other than breast milk is to be given to her.
Wish your daughter a healthy life.
Thanks & take care.
