Infant Suffering From Running Nose And Cough, High Fever, Had Fits, Stomach Infection. On Maxtra Syrup. What Now?

My child ( 1 year old) is suffering from running nose and cough and coughs even in sleep. He had a high fever( got fits) last week due to stomach infection and was given anti-biotics. His stomach infection and fever are now normal but his cough and running are stil the same. the doc has suggested Maxtra syrup for cough and running nose. I don't want to give so many anti-biotics to my little one. Please guide

There is no any requirement of antibiotic at this stage.
Just give him chlorphenaramine drops with phenaleprine.You can use saline nasal drops for nasal blockage.Give mefenemic acid for fever.
Give him vitamin,calcium supplement to boost up his immunity.
Be watchful during seasonal changes.
Keep in touch with your pediatrician.
