Infant, Tests Showed Small Hiatal Hernia, Fussy With Food. Suggestion?
My 9 month old grandson is having eating issues. Most days it is a struggle to get him to take his bottle. Over the last week or so it has escalated. Yesterday he took only 18 oz. of formula. He currently is on neocate (sp?) after being on 5 other formulas. He will eat some strained foods but maybe one jar a day. He is a happy baby and extremely active. He crawls and walks along side furniture. He is very strong. His ped. said he couldn t help and suggested a gastroent.. After initial meeting, upper GI and endoscope all they have come up with is a small hiatal hernia . Have seen a feeding specialist with no luck. Worried about dehydration . Any suggestions?
Hihi,Raw juices extracted from fresh fruits and vegetables are valuable in haitus hernia, and the patient should take these juices half an hour before each meal.carrot juice is specially bebeneficial as it has a very restorative effect, and is rich in vitamin A and calcium.it is an alkaline, food, which soothes the stomach. The foods which should be avoided are over-processed foods like white bread and sugar, cakes and biscuits, rice puddings and overcooked vegetables. Take care
