Infant With Small Raised Spots On The Chest, Fever. Blood And Urine Test Normal. Reaction To Amoxicillin?
my 2 1/2 year old grandaughter has tiny raised dots predominantly covering all of her chest . They are not red but appeared after 14 days of high fevers of 103 followed by fevers of 94.5. Went into hospital 3 times and blood test , urine test and throat swab showed nothing. The dots were originally red and some of the doctors that saw her thought it might be a reaction to amoxicilin . The dots have remained. They are not itchy but this is not her skin. What is it that the doctors might be missing?
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum,
It might very well be a viral exanthem which is usually not very significant and usually fades of after a week or so. AS long as she is asymptomatic, you need not worry about it. Make sure it doesn't increase, in such a case, u need to see a dermatologist.
Hope your child gets well soon.
