Inflamed Clitoris After Sex. Yellow Pus Discharge, Red Bumps Around Urethral Opening. What Could This Be?

A week ago after sex I had a sore inflamed clitoris that developed into what looked like a cyst/blocked gland. I started my peirod the next day. After several days of hot baths and compresses this burst and yellow pus came out, it has now healed and just a pinprick hole remains. Now I have noticed two red, prominent and protuding bumps lower down around the urethral opening. The area is painful but no longer inflamed, and these bumps look like skin tags (firm) you might get elswhere with no fluid. What could this be?

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

The first bump that burst with a yellow pus like discharge was most probably a cyst, which luckily burst itself and drained well enough.

But, the other two red bumps could be due to either of the following:
-Irritation from intercourse
-Irritation from pus and other infection fluids that drained from the previous cyst
-Sexually transmitted infection

As it is close to impossible to put forward a confirmed diagnosis through an online consultation, I can only advise you to visit a doctor for a physical examination, that can then be followed up by laboratory investigations, if the doctor deems it necessary.

In the meantime, please do not touch or irritate the region, and kindly refrain from all forms of sexual contact.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
