I started antibiotic from yesterday but no drops. Today morning my ear lobs got fully inflammed and thickened. What to do.?
You have a condition known as CSOM or chronic suppurative otitis media. In this condition, what happens is that you have a hole in your ear drum that causes infection and causes pus to form in the middle ear. This pus may cause you to have impairment of hearing.
The doctor prescribed you clox which should be able to reduce the pus and dry the ear. After the ear is dry, you can get a surgery done so that the hole is closed and you recover your hearing. Now, since it is not reducing, I think the reason is that the bacteria are immune and thus the infection is spreading and not going down. Consult the ENT specialist again to get a culture and sensitivity done so that you will know what the cause is. I hope this helps.
