Inflammed Tragus In Right Ear. Detected Infection Due To Swollen Lymph Nodes Behind Ears. No Help From Antibiotics. Any Ideas?

My tragus on my right ear has been inflamed for 3 weeks. I went to my doctor the first week and she said inner ear was fine and appeare to be another type of infections bc my lumph nodes behind my ear were all swollen- yet I had no pain. I took antibitoic for 10 days finished antibiotic 3 days ago and some swelling continues. I went to an ENT yesterday and he said he doesn't see any more infection and to just leave it alone. Any idea how long it would be for my tragus and antitrgus swelling to go down

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for contacting HCM
The findings you have mentioned are suggestive of chrondritis(Inflammation of the tragal cartilage). If your swelling is subside and you completed 10 days course of antibiotic then there is no need to continue the antibiotics but schedule regular follow up with ENT specialist.

Avoid piercing of tragus and prevent it from trauma.

Wish you good health
