hi on saturday i was hit by a baseball - not soft becuz it left the marks of the baseball on my leg it was just below my knee i iced it right away and continued playing that day the following days it was not bothering me at all.. tonight just after i went down some stairs i felt a pain in my left leg like as if i had just been hit by the ball again...and it hurts to touch my leg,, my ankle is a little swollen too..... i have iced it again,, but could there be something forming beneath?
Hello and thanks for posting
The pain is due to soft tissue injury and may be a ligamentum injury. You needs to take rest and allow the injury to heal. Some following instructions helps you in quick healing and reducing pain:
1. Keep you leg elevated as much as you can.
2. Apply elastic bandage at the site.
3. Do alternate hot and cold fermentation. Even alone hot fermentation can help.
4. Take analgesic and anti inflammatory drug in case of worse pain.
5. Do not massage the site.
Hope this will help you. If condition become more pain full than consult your doctor and if needed do your X-ray.
Best Wishes
