Intensely Itchy Pimples On Buttocks, Discomfort Due To Skin Peeling, Skin Discoloration. Any Ideas?

Yeah Hi, I recently had some pimples on my buttocks and then they became excessively itchy and irritating and I used to scratch a lot and my skin started peeling and it was very uncomfortable. Then I noticed that my buttocks have become black permanently! they re black and dark red and the marks won t fade and occasionally they become itchy again and the skin is really dry and peels. it s been like this for a month. any ideas?

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

You might have developed fungal infection.

The buttock area is very moist and is prone to develop these infections.

Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.

Various antifungal powders like candid are availabe.

These can help reduce the moisture as well as control the infection.
