Intermittent Stinging Pain In The Left Chest Area And Arm. Heart Attack Or Neural Problem?

Today I experienced some stinging pains in the left chest area along with a pain in my left arm. Of course my first thought was heart attack but it only lasted a few seconds and then it was gone. There were no other symptoms but it did happen on and off over about 3o min. Could this be nerve related? I have been experiencing tightness in my back and shoulders.
