Internal Hemorrhoids, Watery Stools, Having Flares. Does Internal Hemorrhoids Cause Watery Stools?
Hi Doctor:
I got diagnosed with internal hemorroids in 2010(with anoscope) and got prescribed Proctofoam HC 1%. I also get watery stools when I have the flares (twice a year). My doc told me that my body is trying to find a way to push the stool out of rectum, thats why its very watery. Proctofoam used to work very well but now they lost their effectiveness. I switched to Cortifoam as it contains 10% of hydrocortisone. This flare is not going away easily. My question is about my stool. Can internal hemorroids actually cause watery stools? I am very worried that it might be something else and that's why my body doesn't respond this time
Hi, Internal hemorrhoids can not give watery stool. This seems that you might be having some chronic GI infection giving you recurrent problem of having loose motions. Go for stool test and after report go for Ofloxacilin, tinidazole combination medicine course after consulting your doctor. Consult surgeon and get examined for piles. If require for surgery. Ok and take care.
