Internal Ultrasound Done On Pancreas. Big Duct Present. Should I Be Concerned? No Mention Of Tumors Or Cyst
Just had a internal ultra sound on pancreas and have many issues with it.My big concern is my duct measured 29mm that's seems extremely large.Should I be concerned. No mention of tumors or cysts .Abnormality no ted in entire pancreas.Hyperechoic strands.hyper foci, lobularity, shadowing foci, lobularity with honeycombing and strands. What is shadowing, honeycombing and stands.
You didn't mentioned your symptoms.
According to scan reports, there is dilatation of main pancreatic duct and it may be due to many reasons like calculus, tumour etc.
Other findings like hyperechoic strands, honey combing etc are suggestive of pancreatitis.
So, at this stage you need contrast CT scan of abdomen along with biochemical parameters.
You should consult gastroenterologist for your problem.
Get well soon.
Take Care
