Ok... I'm almost 4 weeks late on my period. I had a miscarriage in 2011 and a D&C following it. Before the miscarriage my periods were always on time on 28 day cycle. They are now every 40 day cycle. They have been regular on the 40 day cycle until now. This is my first missed period since the last pregnancy. I've haven't had kids yet. But I keep getting negative pregnancy tests. I've been getting dizzy spells, nausea, headaches, and now my nipples are very sore. I'm also starting to notice pain in my lower right side near my ovaries during intercourse. I don't know if it's a cyst though or not. I feel fine though like I have all my life everyday no premenstrual like pain. Advice or opinions please!!
Hi, If you are late on your 40-day cycle, you should definitely test for pregnancy. I would suggest a trans-vaginal sonogram to exclude/confirm pregnancy as well as to look for any ovarian cysts. You should get a serum beta-hCG titre as urine pregnancy tests are ambiguous. Also, if pregnancy is excluded, please get investigated and treated properly to maintain regular ovulation and successful conception. Hope you find this information helpful.
