Irregular Periods, PCOS, Thyroid Problems. Not Getting Regular Periods Even After Medication. Advice?
i am married and i have thyroid problem.after 4 months of marriage i got pregnant but because of some personal reasons i got aborted and after that doctor told me to use femilon and i used that for 8 months.after stopping that i didnt get my period and my new doc asked me to do ultrasound and the result is PCOD. doc prescribed melmet 500 sr.before i used to use thyronorm 125mcg.now it got decreased to 75 mcg for 5 days a week and 50 mcg for 2 days a week.i get reduced my weight from 72kgs to 59kgs but still not getting my period correctly.15 days or 20 days late.why i dont know.and using melmet twice a day,please answer my question doctor.i am so tensed
Hello, PCOS is hormonal problem. You need to undergo some blood tests to detect if there is some imbalance.LH,FSH,TSH and prolactin should be done fresh if not done within the last 6 months. You thyroid medication may need adjustment accordly.You wont get periods only in melmet sr.You will need to take hormonal mediciations along with that. Depending on the results of the blood test.
