Irregular Periods. Tender Breasts, Dark Spotting, Tiredness. Diabetic. Pre-menopause Symptoms?
i m 42.5 yrs old. i usually have irregular periods. i start with tender breasts mostly the side of my right one. then small amount of crimson spotting but now it s dark. i also have been experiencing headaches and tiredness (but i m also a type 1 diabetic taking novolog & synthroid ). i m (hoping) assuming peri- menopause . besides diabetic and 42.5yrs, both of my now teenage boys were 6-9wks premature (in addition, one aspergers and the other PDD NOS)

Menopause attains about 30 years after attaining periods. The breast tenderness shows a hormonal imbalance.This can be pre menopausal. some times normal menstruation also gets such a disturbance & it is treated by hormone.
Please consult a Gynecologist, to have a physical examination ,investigations ( as per need)- and also treatment .
The head ache,tiredness you have, you need to keep you blood sugar level normal, get your blood pressure checked.Refractory error check up & wearing prescribed spectacle after consultation of an opthalmologist is also advised .
The prematurity of your kids & their problems have nothing to do with your present menstrual problem.
