Hi.
Thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.
You have not specified the type of tablets you took four years back. For irregular period the tablet may either be hormonal pills or
analgesic to control dysmennorhea and analgesics do not cause irregular period. Even the chances of hormonal pills resulting in such prolonged delay in period is minimal.
However, multiple follicles in both ovaries indicate that you may be having poly cystic
ovarian disease (PCOD) which is the actual cause for irregular period. PCOD is due to hormonal imbalance and can cause various symptoms like weight gain, irregular period, loss of hair and
infertility.
Estimation of FSH, LH, Estogen,
Progesterone, Prolactin, GTT, Blood sugar,TSH, Free T4 and T3 values are all necessary to find out the extent of the condition. You should consult a gynecologist and undergo all these tests for further course of management. There is no diet control unless you have
insulin resistance. Once after the investigations are done, your treating Dr will tell you the necessary details.
i hope this is useful.
