Irregular Periods, Heavy Bleeding. Bulky Uterus In The Ultrasound Report. Nabothian Cyst In The Cervix. Surgery Advised

Hi. I am 48 years ,65kg and4.10 inches. My problem is irregular and very heavy bleeding since dec12. My ultrasound report says Uterus is bulky. A myxomatosis seen in the anterior wall 2.0 by1.7 cm. small myxomatosis seedlings also seen near the fungus. Endometrium is 7.3 mm thick. A nabothean cyst seen in the cervix2.0 by1.6cm.ovary is normal. I have only one ovary. No collection seen in POD. All the doctors have adviced surgery. We live in a remote place in Assam. I want to know what medicines should I take till I can go in for an operation. One dr.has adviced novelon and one dr triquilar. Please advice.

Hi dear user, thanks for your query. Novelon is a low dose monophasic pill that is the daily dose of estrogen and progesterone is same throughout the cycle. Triquilar is a triphasic pill that is the dose of estrogen and progesterone varies 3 times in a cycle according to requirement. Its advantage is that the total steroid dose taken is less and lesser side effects. Now,the choice is yours.
