Irregular Pulse Rate, Light Headedness, High Pulse Rate At Rest. Treatment Options?

I have an irregular heartbeat at times. It ll speed up super fast, and slow back down. It goes on like this usually for just a few minutes but lately the time periods have been getting longer. I get lightheaded, try to relax, but no matter what I do, my heart won t calm down. My heart rate has been getting higher, 130-140 beats per minute. What should I do?

hi,
your symptoms of palpitations should be evaluated thoroughly , because speeding up heart may be because of some non cardiac causes like Anemia, Thyrotoxicosis or from cardiac causes.
so you consult a physician first and Take an ECG and other tests done.
