Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Undigested Tablets In Stool. On Citapin, Diamicron. Advise?

I am 75 yrs old. About one year ago my doctor prescribed me 2g citapin in the evening meal and diamecron 90 with my breakfast. My blood sugar level came to normal. From the last few months I am experiencing irritable bowel syndrome. Some time I observe that in my stool citapin two tablets are with my stool unsolutioned. What is your advice

THe Citapin tablets need to be taken with food and not after meals/before meals.The drug Metformin /Citapin may irritate the bowels and cause cramps and frequent stools which may resemble IBS.If the drug is taken with meals,it may be less troublesome.
