Irritation In Nasal Passage Meeting Throat. Headache, Sensitivity To Tobacco Smoke. Do I Have Rhinitis?
I often find irritation in my inner nasal that meets the throat . I mean it feels like having irritation in deep nasal, throat and a headache . I am too sensitive to tobacco smoke , a very little of inhale can reproduce symptoms mentioned. Gradually I am finding these days(past few months) I am becoming sensitive to strong Deo/perfume smell too. I getting these conditions so often that I am confused to what really I am allergic to but somehow I suspect milk and alcohol can also reproduce conditions. Do I have Rhinitis?
Welcome to HCM. Irritation in the nasal passage that you are complaining is probably due to sensitivity to tobacco smoke. Sensitivity often leads to headache, watery eyes, discomfort/itching or irritation in the nasal passage.
Antihistaminics can give you relief. I suggest you to avoid being around tobacco smoke. You should rise up in the early morning and take brisk walk, inhale fresh air, perform yoga ( inhale/exhale) to help your nasal and throat mucosa feel better.
Avoid using strong perfumes or deodrants. You should get your sensitivity test done by an allergist for chemicals and food materials. This will help you get diagnosed whether you are suffering from allergy or sensitivity and to what degrees.
It will also help you get treated. You can change your lifestyle to a yet better one. However, if you get febrile over the period of time, you may be infected with viral infection. In such a case, see a doctor and get clinically examined before taking any medicine. Take care.
