i had sex with a sex worker .... on that very day i had shaved my face as well as pubic area so they had cuts but there was no blood coming out of them when i had sex.... Further i also licked her vagina but didnt insert my tounge inside her vagina... I wore a condom at all times and it didnt tear... As far as I remember the woman had no cuts on her body.... wat are the chances of me contracting aids.... and after how many days since the exposure can i get myself tested for aids

Hello, Thnx to contact us. If I am your treating doctor I would like to advice you that HIV exposure is only and only possible once it exposes to the abraded area. since you have shaved and licked the vagina there is some chances to be infected with HIV. But you should know about the status of the sex worker. If the status of the sex worker is non reactive you do not have to worry regarding that. But if she is reactive I advice you to start the PEP which is available in most government hospitals free of cost. You can confirm your status after 28 days of PEP with P24 Antigen test, which is earliest confirmatory test. If you have anything else to ask please contact me. Thanx. Dr. Arun Tank
