Is AMH Level Of 0.180 Ng/mL A Cause For Concern?

My 28 year old daughter has an AMH test level of 0.180 ng/mL. I have read several medical reviews that state that the DHEA supplement in a 75 mg daily dose can help to restore healthy androgen levels in the ovarian environment in which a woman s eggs mature. When my daughter went to purchase the DHEA product, the warning label stated that the product should not be taken if trying to get pregnant. We do not understand the basis for this warning and its application to my daughter who has been diagnosed with a diminishing ovarian reserve, Any help you can provide us to determine if it would be okay for her to take the 75mgs daily split into three 25mg doses, would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Low AMH means low ovarian reserve. It means decreased chances to in conceiving. But it is not impossible.

Yes, you may take DHEA. DHEA is only discontinued if a patient conceives or decides to end treatments with the use of her own eggs.

Dosage may vary from person to person. So please consult your gynecologist she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
