Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a condition associated with hormonal imbalance leading to
irregular menstruation and ovulation, causing
infertility in women.
But use of APCOD (myo-inositol) in PCOD is not very clear. Also using it alone might not improve the chances of conceiving.
Primarily, PCOD needs to be treated with a combination of medications as follows:
1. Combined
oral contraceptive pills to regularize menstruation.
2. Ovulation inducing drugs like Clomiphine nad/or Metformin.
Also, you need to reduce weight by means of low-
carbohydrate diet and regular moderate exercise.
Treatment needs regular follow-up and adjustment of doses or medications, as necessary. This would improve the chances of conceiving.
Kindly consult Gynaecologist or Infertility specialist for proper evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
