Years ago it was determined I have a slight leak in one of my heart valves. Nothing seriously concerning, however I was advised to monitor it through annual visits to the Cardiologist. Since I was son young and my family wasn t the most financially sounds, I never returned. I do feel symptoms such as chronic fatigue and shortness of breath (occurring with and without physical excertion). I want to return to get a check up but I m in the fire department and I m afraid if they get ahold of that information I may be relieved of duty. Anyway, I recently went to the psychiatrist because I was having issues with focusing. He diagnosed me with ADD. I ve been taking Adderall for a month now and I want to know if that will affect the potential leaky valve in my heart. I am aware that I should go to the Cardiologist but is it imperative that I go immediately or hold off until winter so I can afford the visit and potential treatment?
