Is Albumin Of 4.9 And RBC Between 15 To 19 Considered Very High?

My husband has been having heartburn/indigestion problems for a month or so and is being treated for GERD but then noticed on labs 3 months ago his Albumin was 4.9 and RBC 15-19(none,0-2#/hpf). Just wondering if that is super high or can it just be related to GERD or possible ulcer?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The GERD cannot lead the presence of blood in urine. According to the report provided, it seems that RBC present in urine.

So it is called hematuria. For that kidney problem has to be ruled out. Kindly attach your reports so that I can guide you further. Meanwhile, for Gerd, you can take an antacid tablet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
