Is Althea Safe To Be Used After Discontinuing Nordette?
hi! im using althea as a ecp for the first time because nordette is on hold in drugstores. is it safe to use? i had sex with my bf and he cum inside me twice.. it was april 30 and after that we bought althea.. and i take 4 pills after and after 12 hours i took 4 again.. its the 10th day since i took the pill but until now there is no sign of withdrawal :( am i pregnant?!?!

Althea pill contains both cyproterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol that is used in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses and in the treatment of acne and hirsutism in patients with PCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome. It is a safe and effective medication for the prevention of pregnancy, if it is taken in the dose and duration as directed by the prescribing doctor.
Take one pill daily, starting on the first of menstrual bleeding and a pack is good for twenty one. After taking the last pill, any pill on the next 7 days shouldn't be taken. A new pack should be started after 7 pill free days. Normal menstrual period will usually resume during pill free days. But if you have any doubt of getting pregnant then you can do urine pregnancy test 7 days after the next missed period.
