Is Alzheimer's Patient's Obsession With Cocktail Sauce And Ketchup Due To Vitamin B12 Deficiency?

Hi. I am a caregiver of an Alzheimer's patient. I have noticed that he is constantly eating spoonfuls of cocktail sauce and ketchup and anything tomato based. It's almost like its an obsession. I'm wondering if this could be related to a b12 deficiency?

Dear it is difficult to make such diagnoses without examination.Diagnose can be made with blood test so you can send his blood for tests and the results will show it.Anyway b12 deficiency has a lot of symptoms so in this case it seems to be unlikely.Wish you all the best
