Hello and Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
I will try to the best of my ability to help you with your concern.
Well
amitriptyline is a antidepressant drug . But it can also be use to relive
nerve pain . It affects the
neurotransmitter like serotonin in brain and should be taken under the prescription of doctor .
It seems to me that you have a problem of clenching of teeth at night that is bruxism , which results in
pain in teeth and headache . Because pain in teeth along with headache doesn't seems to be a nerve pain.
Simply getting a night guard from dentist can solve problem along with muscle relaxants and giving
physical therapy to facial muscle.
As far as sore tongue is concern it could be due to
dry mouth , but dry mouth is just a symptom there must be some underlying cause like infection ,side effect of certain medicine and nerve problem.
So i would suggest you to :-
-
Consult dentist again to find out exact cause of sore tongue .
- Keep your self hydrate by drinking at least 8-9 glasses of water .
- Avoid food like sugary and fatty food , which can increase dryness of mouth .
- Suck on sugar free candy to keep your mouth moist.
I hope it helps.
Thanks
