Is Ampicillin An Alternative For Penicillin?
Yes you may. My husband is allergic to penicillin and his dr. Gave him ampicillin 500mg. Is this what some say a cousin to penicillin. He took one about an hour and a half ago. He seems fine now. Should he be ok by now or should I stay awake and watch him for a bit longer?

Amoxicillin is in the "cillin" family like ampicillin and Pen V K but it may not cause him any problems if there is no reaction two hours after the first dose
