Is Ampiclox Tablet The Right Medicine For Cough And Sore Throat?
Hi Doc, I have got a sore throat and lots of coughing. I went to a doctor who had prescribed AMPICLOX PLUS - 3 capsules on first day (yesterday) and 2 capsules on the next day (today). Then discontinue. Is it a correct dosage ? I can t see any improvement as yet. Please advice. I have some mild fever also

It is not the dose or frequency that is most commonly used but your doctor may have a reason for altering the dose so you may want to speak to him/her.
Most cases of sore throat, coughing, fever are due to a viral infection which would not respond to antibiotics (can only treat bacterial infection)
The use of pain medication for the throat after the antibiotics have been completed may be enough.
Cough suppressants, decongestants and anti histamines can be used to help with other symptoms
These are over the counter medications
