Is Armour Advisable For Low T3 Values?

I have a low T3 Free of 2.4 but TSH and T4 are within range. My sister and mother have hypothyroidism. I`m now 56 and have bee having terrible symptoms of hypothyroidism for all of 2015 to now. My new NP wants to wait 6 weeks and repeat the blood before treating. Should I be getting treatment now with Armour. I would like to feel better.

Thank you for contacting HCM.
Your medical practitioner advised you very rightly. Thyroxine (armour) does not need to be started unless TSH level is raised or T4 level is low. Wait for 6 weeks and repeat the test.
