Is Ativan An Effective Alternative To Serax?

I took miltowns or meprobamate for forty years for panic attacks which I get from an irregular heart beat. They put me on serex which does not help much. I would like to try Ativan to see if I get better response from that. Do you think the ad Ivan is better than serex

Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

All the drugs you mentioned are used alternatively to each other but using the drug without consult of a doctor is not advised, these drugs have side effects, some may cause dependence, on the other hand dose of the drug has to be adjusted from person to person considering need , diagnosis and co-morbids.

I would suggest you to contact your doctor and discuss if you can use Ativan , if your doctor suggests so , you can use that.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
