Is Augpen LB The Right Medicine For Bacterial Infection In The Buttocks?
Hi! There is a bacterial infection in my bums... Earlier i have been operated for pilonidal sinus and recently puss has been developed in that area again because of constant sitting. Few months ago doctor prescribed me Augpen LB 625 for the bacterial infection. So again i m taking the same medicine. I have just missed my period and i am feeling like i might be pregnant. Can this medicine have any effect on pregnancy?
Antibiotics generally considered safe during pregnancy include Amoxicillin. Also, there is no evidence that Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid combination is teratogenic. It may be used during pregnancy.
However, kindly consult your doctor and get yourself evaluated before taking the medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashakiran S,
