Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am around 44. Recent annual health check up showed BP of 130/80MM HG (SUPINE) & CONCENTRIC LVH with GRADE I LV DIASTOLIC DYSFUNCTION E A. Is it required to get further checkup/ consultation from a cardiologist. The doctor at the Test lab advised that there is no cause for concern but BP needed regular monitoring and followup test after a year. What would be your view and is there any preventive action needed? Thank you in advance
From your description, I do not see any cause for concern besides following through with doctor's advise to follow up after a year or so. Do regular exercises, eat little salt and fatty food. The blood pressure value you presented is within the normal range and does not require any further investigations.
Best wishes
