Is BP Of 172/90 And A Pulse Rate Of 102 Normal?

hi, I have recently been suffering from occasional dizziness and a few weeks ago I fainted in the gymn. I am taking blood pressure tablets. I went to see my GP the day after I fainted and I was told to stop taking my blood pressure tablets for 2 weeks and to then see the GP again. I saw the GP again (a different one at the practice) who explained it was not a good idea to have stopped taking the medication. He halved the dosage of my blood pressure medication and arranged for me to have a 24 hour monitoring of my blood pressure. My appointment at the hospital to fit the device for this will be on Monday 14 November. I am still feeling dizziness and my blood pressure (my own device) is regularly showing readings of 172/90 and pulse is 102. Is this OK?
