Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having a rash reaction to prune juice with added Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid with Sorbital Dextrin and Sucralose. I avoid Orange juice and limit fresh oranges. I was drinking a cup of prune juice every day for bowls. The reaction appeared after about 100 ounces of the juice over a two week period. How do I treat reaction? I am taking benadryl which helps but is a problem for 72 year old woman.
Benadryl is an antihistamine and can treat the rash due to an allergic reaction. I also recommend using Betametasone cream for local application and cool showers during the day for relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
