Is Benedryl With Tylenol And Codeine Advisable For Tooth Pain?
Can I take Benedryl along with Tylenol with Codeine? I am having severe pain in my teeth and haven't been able to sleep through the night for the last three days. Unfortunately, I will not be able to see a dentist until tomorrow morning.I haven't even had a meal since Wednesday because it hurts to chew. The few times I have tried eating I haven't been able to chew my food well enough and I've choked. I want to sleep thru this and alleviate my pain as much as possible until I am able to see the dentist tomorrow.
If swelling doesn't subside in 2-3 days then visit dentist again . Doctor may order X-ray to see if there is any chip of root remained inside or to rule out other cause like hematoma or residual infection. Yes you can combine these medications.
Doctor may extent the course of antibiotics , may drain the pus if infection is there or extract the root chip if it is there .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari

Is Benedryl With Tylenol And Codeine Advisable For Tooth Pain?
Hi Dear, Welcome to HCM. Understanding your concern. Thanks for your query .As per your query you have symptoms of tooth pain. I would suggest you to :- - - Give cold compresses to the site of swelling and pain. - Do not eat hard and hot foot for 48 hours and eat from other side . - Do warm saline rinses after 48 hours . - Take ibuprofen (if not allergic ) or acetaminophen for pain and swelling. If swelling doesn t subside in 2-3 days then visit dentist again . Doctor may order X-ray to see if there is any chip of root remained inside or to rule out other cause like hematoma or residual infection. Yes you can combine these medications.
