Is Betnesol Injection Advisable For A Pregnant Woman With High AFI?

Hello Doctor, I am 32 weeks and 4 days. My AFI is 23.5 mm. I have done the test today morning. I don t even have any Diabetes problem and I keeping a check on it regularly. I have been advised Betnesol Injection from my Doctor. I really don t want to get admitted to the hospital for this treatment, as have been told to admit to the hospital for monitoring properly. Kindly help me, I really don t wana go for this treatment. Regards Shallu

I really appreciate your concern, steroid can be given in prenatal phase if certain maternal conditions are there like preterm or premature rupture of membrane, hyaline membrane disease, side effects of the steroid would be the same as seen in non pregnant women it is depends upon need of this medicine hope this information helps
