Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain I would like to inform you that Betnovate C cream is a steroid based cream containing Betamethasone and Cliquinol..

Steroid creams initially shows wonderful effects on face by reducing pigmentation and brightening the face..

But long term use has severe side effects like skin thinning, pimples, inflammation, rashes, itching, excess hairgrowth and dilated veins under the skin..

Also on long term use the skin becomes addicted or dependant on steroids and once the use is suddenly stopped, there are withdrawal side effects and it is the same thing that you are facing now that is increased pigmentation, rashes, swelling, redness etc..

As you have stopped using the cream you are observing the withdrawal effects in the form of darkening of skin and dryness..
The steroid creams are meant to be withdrawn gradually and not at once but as you have already stopped using it, You should not use it again and consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can advise you the further course of treatment for improving your skin after a proper examination..

I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist who can evaluate you

Once the side effects clears off safer treatment will be given for pimples like Benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin cream along with depigmentation creams like Kojic acid and Vitamin E cream..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
