Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr I am from ETHIOPIA and wanted to know about Butaline syrup. My child is 6 year old and has experienced cough followed by vomiting and in some cases difficulty of breathing....the Dr prescribed Butaline syrup for 7 days...and I am not sure if the suryo has any serious side effect
Hi Butaline contains a bronchodilator called terbutaline. Terbutaline is indicated in children who are 6 years and older. I do not see any reason behind your apprehensions about the drug. Terbutaline doesn't cause any serious side effects in most of the patients. Terbutaline will actually help in your child's breathing problem and gives the much needed relief. I would advice you to administer medications as described by your pediatrician. Do not worry much about the medications. They are fine for your child and the symptoms mentioned above. I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic. Take care.
