Is Calpol Advisable For Persistent Typhoid Fever?

Hi I was affected by typhoid fever 8 days ago doctor has given oflomac 400 ... Now after 10 days am again getting fever only in after noon for few hours..... Is this normal or shall I consume colpol when ever I get fever..... Pls inform... Our doctor is not responding properly and asking to admit

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
If fever comes back again after getting treated for typhoid fever, it certainly needs to be evaluated and treated with care. This is because, certain strains of bacteria could be resistant and can strike back with vengeance, which can land you in dreadful complications.
Hence, you need to be admitted and investigated throughly so that proper treatment can be instituted.
Taking Calpol (Paracetamol) medication would not suffice if there is relapse of typhoid.
Kindly consult Physician in this regard for further management.
