Is Catheter Is The Only Option For The Urination Problem?

sir, my father was having catheter to drain the urine otherwise it was getting flown to the kidney increasing the BP.. now, the urologist has performed Uro Dynamics Study & suggested to perform self catheterization after every 3 -4 hours. The doctor is telling there is no other remedy for this.. Please let me know what can we do ??

Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
Your father seems to suffer from -extensive backflow with infection accompanied with chronic BEP-may be with high blood urea.
IN such cases, to reduce the life risks-for temporary period-Intermittent self catheter technique-is proved to be superior-to normalize kidney functions and blood urea/creatinine levels.
So just follow it,as advised with Urologist.
Or I would suggest Second Opinion from Second Urologist to resolve this anxiety.
Hope this would help you to plan further care of this complex illness of yours.
