What Causes Urinary Incontinence And Sleeplessness In The Elderly?
My mother has really bad problems with frequent urination, leakage and interrupted sleep due to hourly urination-she is 90 years old. Her doctor tells us he has done all possible -next step is catheter. What does it mean, on a daily basis, to have a catheter.
Hi...Can understand your concern...As per your query about urinary incontinence and sleeplessness in your mother who is 90 years old.....Urinary incontinence becomes a common problem in elderly people especially females with uterine prolapse...As the doctor has tried all possible method and suggested a catheter use but on daily basis it becomes pathetic.. Surgeries are also treatment for urinary incontinence but at this age it's will be of no use to go for a surgery..She can use diapers which comes especially for elderly people and consult a gynaecologist or a urologist for any permanent solution...I hope the information helps you...You are welcome on HCM for any future query..Take care.
