Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Ciplox And Tinidazole Advisable For Stomach Bloating And Feverish?
I seem to have a bloated stomach for the past few days. Digestion is fine and stools too are normal. But I feel feverish and have body ache although I am not running a temp. Can I take CIplox -tinidazole ? I have taken it previously. I suspect I may have IBS.
Surely ciplox and tinidazole can be consumed with IBS history but special precautions have to be carried out as
- take PPI as omeprazole or pantoprazole with sips of water on empty stomach about 1 hour before the intake of ciplox and tinidazole
- strict dietary measures to avoid high fat intake
- maintain hydration with plenty of liquids
- avoid stress and anxiety.
Consult your primary care provider as per the progress and need.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
