Is Ciprofloxacin Effective In The Treatment Of Gastritis?
Hello, I was diagnosed with bladder infection today and the doctor prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500 mg. However, I have been feeling signs of gastritis due to stress and anxiety. Is this medication also prescribed for gastritis? Or, am I making even more damage to my stomach if I continue taking it? Thank you

Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic medication, which is prescribed to treat infections in the body. It is not the medication for gastritis but has been prescribed for your infection in the bladder.
You need to take 'Proton pump inhibitors' like Omeprazole/Pantoprazole/Rabeprazole, once a day on empty stomach for a week to ten days to control gastritis effectively.
