Is Cocaine Smoking Advisable After A Reconstructive Surgery On Left Clavicle?

Hi, I recently had reconstructive surgery on my left clavicle and it s healing nicely. I haven t gone out in quite some time and my girlfriend and I are thinking about doing some cocaine. Not a whole lot mind you, just a gram split between the two of us. My question is, would it affect me in any way that is harmful to the healing of my bones? I don t use often and we want to celebrate.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

When you are having good healing progress after reconstructive surgery, you should ideally avoid any addictive product (smoking, alcohol, cocaine, etc, etc).

These drugs often cause a decrease in bone density & may later complicate the healing process. It may interfere with the medications & reduce the efficacy.

Plan a better way of celebration. Cocaine style celebration has gone monotonous these days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
