Is Crocin Advisable Every 4 Hours For A Child With Recurring Fever?

My 11 1/2 years old daughter having fever since 5days the temperature is on & off since 3rd day evening till 4th day night there is no fever .Again she had fever on 4th day night @ 8 PM ,5th day Morning 6AM and 5th day night 9 PM. Every (whenever there is a fever) time I used Crocin DS 240mg/5ml. now @1.15 AM she got the temperature of 101 .Can she have the cocin with 4 hrs gap? is this a viral or infection ?

Hello,

Since your daughter is sick since 5 days & is not responding to Crocin and is getting febrile, you are suggested to get her clinically examined by a GP. She needs blood & urine tests. She may need antibiotics or other medicines depending on the reports of the tests. Dosage of crocin depends upon the severity of the pathology detected, age & body weight of the patient. History of allergy, health status & drug reactions of the patient. If crocin is given in appropriate dose, serious side effect is observed. But when it is taken in higher doses or for a prolonged duration of time it may cause disorders of liver, affect blood pressure & affect kidney or heart.You should consult a doctor before giving medicines.
